Poem Two for Lexi

I Miss You

Hey it has been a while hasn't it?

I can still remember how much you glowed in the sunlight.

I can still remember the way you would giggle every time you were happy.

I can still remember the smile you had every time your mommy was around you.

I know that you are in a much better place now,

But I can still remember the days I would get home from school,

And your mommy would call me saying,

"Get this child to sleep!" .

I would hear you wailing and I would calmly get you to sleep.

I miss the days that we all spent with you, you sweet angel.

I miss the days that we all had together after you were born.

I guess I just miss you all together.

I guess you were brought into our lives at the time we needed you.

And you left just as quickly as you came.

I know it still hurts your mommy so badly.

Just like it hurts us all.

You truly were and still are an angel from Heaven,

A child so pure you just couldn't stay,

We all can never do anything but be happy that you came.

I miss you, my darling niece Lexi Danielle Billups....

And that will never change.
